New York-" Your Mama"

Here are the pictures of my friends and I in NY. Lauren and I eating yummy Gnocchi in Little Italy. If I lived there I think I'd weigh 300 pounds from eating Gnocchi every night!
We are doing the twist and snap (Oh yea! We saw Legally Blonde the musical) in Brooklyn Heights. We would be walking the turn so her "mama" could snap the picture. We were super hungry so we were getting super silly. Lauren likes to say "your mama" all the time. So we were saying that to eachother all night. Then I told her about how people in Nashville say, "do what now?" so that became the new saying!

Every good trip needs at least one "Griswald" so here it is at Ellen's Stardust Diner. This is my fav place to go after a show. The wait staff sings to you throughout your dining experience!
Lauren and her Mama (Celeste)! Thanks for letting me crash your trip! You guys are such amazing friends I love and adore you both! Finally, the reason for the trip The Birthday Girl! I hope you had the best sweet sixteen! Yup boys you can now ask her out- With my approval of course!

Oh Captain my Captain!!!

Since I was already in NYC hanging out with Lauren and "her Mama", inside joke I'll explain more in my post about them. But this post is dedicated to my un-dying love (he was a bit jealous of Davi's birthday post) and devotion to our Captain! (Not enough to Vote democrat/marxist or move back- but it's still there!) Back to my point I decided to extend my trip a day longer so I could go hang out with our friends Keith (captain), Heather, and Baby Hayden (world 2nd cutest baby- unless you have one then I'm sure she's 3rd). I thought I start out with how I met Captain. Davi and I had just moved to NYC it was a crisp spring day in the city and my scooter was leaking something. So I dropped Davi off at a job interview and decided to go around the corner to a little motorcycle shop There was this guy out there smoking I asked him if he could look at my bike really quick. Anyway we got to talking and I told him we were new in town and were both looking for jobs. So he suggested working there. So we both got a job there. Times were fun despite our boss and a few choice co-workers. Anyway one day Keith went to a party and met a girl all he knew was her name was heather and she worked for TV guide. So I went to work stalking her. I found her! The funniest thing is she's from Pocatello Idaho and her dad and Davi's dad went to school together. So we move back to Utah, Keith moves back to Wooster Ohio, and keep dating Heather in NYC.
What We love about Captain:
~He is the best story teller in the world! Especially if you get him going on his tales of the Navy.

So we've stayed close to them for the last 8 years! They were the first ones we told when we were preggers with Xadi, we figured we were back there so why not tell them in person! Little did any of us know then that Heather was Prego too!  Now the just need to move closer so our girls can grow up together! Here are some precious pictures of Captain an his baby girl at the park. We love and miss you guys thanks for being our friends! Come "Home" Soon!

Caught between the moon and NYC

I love painting with light- I did most of my Paris photo study this way. I was so in love with the pictures I took, now it's my little addiction when I travel to a metro area. You've all seen the standard pictures hundreds of times. I hope you enjoy my perspective.
I love to take delayed exposer. I feel like it's my way to express my view and interpretation of the world. I hope you enjoy my view of NYC.
The Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges

One of my Favorite buildings- Any guesses?
Hint: I love the Art Deco architecture.

It's the Chrysler Building.

Under the Brooklyn bridge. This is where I really wanted to live when we lived in NY. Ahh but the $$$ thing always gets in the way. I still love to go there it just makes me happy!
Isn't NY amazing at night?

Happy Birthday Davi

Yesterday was Davi's Birthday, so in celebration I thought I tell you the reason he is the love of my life... I mean besides the obvious.
He is a great dad!
He shows off his war wounds with pride, and if he falls he gets back up...
To do it better!
He rocks my world!
He's got game!
He found the love of Xadi's life- Bronco
He always has had a sense of adventure!
He has always known how to dress for any occasion!
Did I mention how hot he is!
He is my best friend!

He gets really excited about presents!
He dream of a day when he never has to wear the same pair of socks twice!
He really likes chocolate!
He has really great friends!

And finally he AWAY'S brings the party! Love you babe! I hope your birthday was great! I'll bring you some great presents from NY!

"That little enchanted place on the top of the forest"

Yesterday we went to the Tree House Museum in O-Town. It was the best, so much fun! Xadi just loved it. Especially our company- my cousin Tiff and the super cute twins, Alex and Alexus. Thanks for hanging out with us, even though we were super late- sorry!  Let's do it again! We love my family, We are so blessed! Back to the Tree House. I loved the fact that it was really clean, they had baskets in each display for you to put any toys that went into your child's mouth so that they could be sterilized! Also there weren't a ton of kids there! The staff was awesome too, a bunch of young enthusiastic young college girls, they were on top of it!

"It fun!" Xadi"We're all learning together" Xadi"Alexus will you read me a story?" Xadi
What a Cutie!
"I love you Xadi" Alex
Such a cute cuddle bug!
"Love you too, Alex!" Xadi

A day with "Lest"

Last week's adventure we went to Gardner Village with one of Xadi's favorite people- Celeste or as Xadi says "Lest". She love's her so much one day she was crying in her crib for Mommy so I went to get her she lost it, "No, I want Lest mommy!!!" So all say just made Celeste carry her or hold her hand. She even tried to push Korty off his mom's lap. She'll usually share everything, just not Celeste.

Gotta love those lil' pumpkins!
My interpretation of a perfect fall day... just imagine the crisp fall air!
We were on a witch hunt! Xadi thought the witches were fun to look at but she'd keep her distance. So no Picts with the witches, unless you count the good witch of the South.
Such cute kids!
Notice the same mischievous grins!

My little Pumpkin

Do you want a pumpkin?
Really I'm asking mommy if she want one.
She asked for a smile instead, here what do you think?
Or is this better?
It's not? Well then how about a pumpkin? I think there is enough to share. They grew AWESOME!!! The tomatoes, not so much.
Mommy's fav!
