My Rant...

I think I'm usually a very happy person but there has been something on my mind that I just need to get out. So bare with me as I rant for a bit.I'll go back to happy fun time next I promise! After all as Monty Python always said- Look on the sunny side of life!
So here goes...I've been blessed with five best friends at different stages of my life! They are all totally amazing and completely different. From looks tall skinny super model blonde to short curvy brunette. From active LDS to agnostic. From world traveler to stay at home mom. From totally out spoken to quiet and reserved. And every other difference in between! But it's what they have in common besides me that alarms me most...
It's that all of them have been cheated on by there significant other/ husband. This really upsets me! Not just because they are the most amazing people I've ever known but also because what is says about the men of this generation. I don't think they understand love or commitment. Love is service trust devotion. Love is a choice! You do not just "fall" in love or out. You have the god given power to choose in Matt 5 it states-love your enemies... If you love them that love you, what reward have ye? Both statements imply that love is a choice granted from our Father in Heaven who knows us and our desires. Lust is a fleeting desire it is not of God therefore it is against God and will not lead to happiness. I believe that is what these men are in search of. But happiness is never brought by self serving purposes. Happiness is achieved through loving serving and helping others- NOT YOURSELF!
If you are not feeling love or in love with someone try serving them do something selfless with no hope of a return. It makes me so upset to see my best friends all go through this. Why is this generation of men so selfish? Why do they think it's okay to Leave their commitments covenants and sometimes children behind to find "true love"? I'm both sickened and saddened when I hear stories like these:
Child "I want my Daddy to give me a back to school blessing too!" MOM (It's got to be the Mom Cause she is the one still there honoring her covenants and commitments) "He can't sweetie. How about a neighbor, a bishop or one of your friends Daddy's?" Child, "Why Can't Daddy do it? Doesn't he love me?" MOM "He isn't following Heavenly Father's commandments so he can't do it right now. I'm really sorry." Child, "Well if he can't I DON'T WANT ONE! IJUST WANT MY DADDY TO DO IT! NOT SOMEONE ELSES DADDY!" Followed by lots of cries and sobs! This poor child is just heart broken and my friend gets to try to tape up the pieces the best she can.
Or this one: Child, "Mommy can we just go back a year or two when Daddy was following Heavenly Father's commandments and we were all happy?"

I really don't understand what they are thinking. In my opinion you couldn't find better women than my best friends! I haven't and I'm picky about my friends!

Cute Kiddo's

Just a short post about my super cute kiddo's! Xadi just came up to me with a back to school catalogue and started in with the I wants... So I told her we don't have a lot of money and we shouldn't buy what we don't need. Her response, "Well we can just go to Martin Harris and get some money from him!" Darn scriptures! What are you teaching my kids? I was laughing so hard I had to walk away!
Char loves to whisper babble and come up to me and say, "brrap!" like it's the most important word in the world- I have no clue what it means! He also love to come up lick me then smile like he just gave me the best present in the world! Man I love that little boy! Here are just some random funny photos.
Love Burrito Time!!!
Anything wrong with this picture?
Xadi's favorite book right now is Fancy Nancy Pajama Day. At the end the three girls are triplets! She loves to wear twin jammies with Me. We decided that we just had to be triplets so poor Charlie got stuck in pink jammies!

Sunday hike

Last Sunday I met I met Amy in Moab for a hike!
Only kidding She flew in from Cali and was kind enough to spend Sunday afternoon with me and my kiddo's! We were going to hike up to donut or doughnut (yes I researched it and depending on where you live the spelling is different but both correct! So choose what you will.) falls. In my research i found that when the water levels are high you cant really see the doughnut the wate just fall over all of it, that and my neighbor recommended NOT to do it on a holiday weekend! Too crowded! His suggestion was to come up to their cabin and hike to the bever ponds just behind it he swore you couldn't get lost- finding it or finding our way back. While I got us lost coming and going! Amy is saving up to hike in Nepal next year! I totally think she's taking me for her guide, don't you?

I'm so glad we've re-connected! She is so amazing! I really am blessed to have such awesome friends! Xadi is planning our next visit to see in San Diego! I just hope she is planning to pay for it too! HAHAHA! Xadi calls her my funny tickle friend- which is funny cause that is how I remember a lot of our childhood too! We were always laughing!

We Saw a moose...
The Kiddo's ran TO the Moose!
Amy and Xadi went sleeding!

Charlie got muddy!
It has taken me a month to finish this Post! Now on to the pony party and Lake Powell! I'm writing this here so all 3 of you that may read this can bug me to actually post those!

Which is the Daddy finger?

While driving home the other day Xadi is doing some finger play in the back seat I'm watching her in the re-view mirror and this is what she came up with I was laughing so hard! I was glad we were almost home and I could get her to re-create it for all of you! Enjoy!

Easter

Easter Photo's (super amazing sweater care of my AWESOME sis-in-law Caroline! Done while getting her MASTERS and TEACHING school!)

We tried to get a picture with the Easter Bunny... I'll just let the pictures tell the story!

Xadi Loved her fluffy bunny she got from the Easter Bunny! In fact she told me that night when I was tucking her in bed that the Easter Bunny loves her so much more than I do because he gave her a fluffy bunny and maybe she should go live with him! How could I even try to defy that logic?
The Easter Bunny kept buying little things here and there, so much that my kids were overwhelmed about 2 minutes into the "BIG EASTER EGG HUNT". Note to EB next year just get 1 toy and 3 eggs!
